He's a pirate

 é estate e mr Earl Grey ha deciso di provare nuove emozioni e ha cominciato navigare sul Po, il fiume che attraversa la mia città (Torino).Come sempre Mr Earl Grey ama trovare degli spunti di riflessione nelle sue attività quotidiane e, questa volta, saggio come è solito essere, ha dichiarato: "Bisogna sempre essere coraggiosi come un pirata!"

It's summer and Mr. Earl Grey has decided to try out new emotions and started surfing the Po, the river that runs through my city (Turin).
As always, Mr. Earl Grey likes to find deep toughts in his daily activities and this time, as wise as usually, he said: "We always have to be brave like a pirate!"

ohhh so romantic!

 ciao a tutti! Un post cortissimo perchè sono in partenza per Amsterdam per le mie vacanze estive! Spero di tornare con un ssacco di disegni nel mio sketchbook.
Eil disegno qui sopra? è il ritratto di due miei carisismi amici che domenica scorsa si sono sposati con un bellissimo matrimonio, hanno utilizzato questa illustrazione come invito alle loro nozze e io sono stata felice e orgogliosa di realizzarla per loro anche perchè nel profondo del mio cuore sono una romantica senza speranza :) a presto quindi, signor blog!


hi everybody! a very short post because i'm leaving for amsterdam tomorrow for my summer holydays... I'll be back soon with a lot of image on my sketchbook I hope :) the illustration you see is the portrait of two dear friends that got married last sunday! They use my illustration as invitation for their fantastic wedding... I was so happy to made this for them (because secretly I'm a hopeless romantic).

this is a random choice of my summertime-memories...very fast sketches to describe some moments of my childhood : I hope to make a translation as soon as possible for my not-italian followers :)

Mr Earl Grey's self-portrait

Mr Earl Grey a forza di vedermi al tavolo da disegno ha deciso che era venuto il momento anche per lui di cimentarsi con la creatività. Il risultato è un delizioso autoritratto azzurro in formato bustina... Disegnare gli è piaciuto molto, mi ha detto che quella concentrazione speciale che compare quando cerchiamo di esprimerci disegnando è molto profonda e, a volte, può rivelarsi sorprendente...E che è un peccato che molte persone diventate adulte smettano di disegnare, anche solo per divertirsi.  Non posso che essere d'accordo con lui: mr Earl Grey è sempre molto più saggio di me.

Since he always saw me draw, Mr Earl Grey has decided to begin experiment his creativity. The result is a delightful blue self-portrait... he has loved draw, and he said that the special concentration that appears while we try to express ourselves through drawing is very deep and, sometimes, may be surprising ... It is a pity that frequently when childhood finishes a lot of people stop drawing. I can only agree with him: Mr. Earl Grey is always much wiser than me.

Acquarello, lezioni di vita.
1) Stai attento a bere dalla tazza giusta
2) Se hai sbagliato, hai sbagliato: qui non c'è cntrl Z che tenga. Butta e rifai.
3) Se hai sbagliato, hai sbagliato: quello che è venuto fuori è molto meglio di quello che avresti fatto tu, oh yeah!
4) Sii impavido, ardito, deciso, devi sapere dove stai andando per perderti.( Insomma, nel mio caso è un po' un sii tutto quello che non sei ,MAI) (uargh)
5) Con la musica, è meglio.

Watercolor, life lessons
1) Pay attention: are you drinking with the right cup?
2) If you do a mistake, you do a mistake: you can't make cntrl Z. Throw it and redo.
3) If you do a mistake, you do a mistake: what comes out is better than everything you could do, oh yeah!
4) Be brave, hardy, resolute, you have to know what you want to lose yourself. (so, in my case be all that i'm not, NEVER)
5) with music, it's better.
